We got this email from El Salvador concerning our Christmas Shoebox Program.
“Great news! We got everything… and it looks like one of the best loads we have gotten in years. Wow! We can’t thank you enough. Please let everyone involved know how very much we appreciated their help in making this miracle happen. Praise God From Whom ALL Blessings Flow!” ~ Missionary Don Triplett

Today, BUSES International sent building supplies and medical equipment totally nearly $10,000.00 to Haiti. Our items were added to food and other supplies collected in partnership with Church on the North Coast, a close friend of the ministry. All the supplies and equipment will be used to rebuild and expand an orphanage there in Haiti.

BUSES had a busy weekend of ministry. We supplied all the sound equipment to two different church events – The Mid-Atlantic District Youth Winter Retreat at Kalahari Water-park in Sandusky, OH and the Great Northern Explosion Conference in Cleveland, OH. Sound good?

As many of you know, the staff at BUSES International works very hard and countless hours. Our Chief of Operations, Tom Szychowicz, in particular, works tirelessly (and what seems like endlessly) in the shop designing and building ministry bus units. He is an integral part of our ministry team, so when he had an opportunity to spend some time away, we reluctantly gave him our permission to go. In all seriousness, this break for Tom was much-needed and long overdue! We are excited for him that he was able to get away for awhile, take a break from the day-to-day happenings at BUSES International and spend some time with his family in Arizona.
As important as our work is, we recognize the importance of resting to “recharge our batteries”. The book of Genesis tells us God worked for six days speaking the world into existence and on the seventh day, He rested. It is through this example we learn the importance of rest and the importance of making time to get away from our schedules. We all need to take a break from our normal routines so we can relax, re-energize and get refreshed.
We are happy Tom had an opportunity to get some time away. We are also happy to have him back in Ohio, safe and back to work in the shop (and Mathew says, “Amen”). We encourage you to take a few moments out of your busy schedule to relax and reflect on God’s goodness and faithfulness to you and to thank Him for all He has done. May you rest in the comfort of knowing He is your Rock and Salvation.

Today, the hotel parking lot was a hub of activity. We had a wonderful time distributing gift boxes to 28 churches who will now do an outreach into each of their own Colonias (communities). This Christmas, thousands of children will receive a special gift. Thank you to everyone who donated a shoebox-gift. You have made a huge impact in these young lives. Our team was able to pray with each Pastor and we asked God for His provision, empowerment and blessing in their lives.
We’ve had a full day of work and we’re tired. Talk to you all tomorrow.
